MSWP’s Kuala Lumpur seat sits on Jalan Sri Hartamas.[2] Some older sources still quote Jalan Duta. Confirm the right branch first, especially if your family moved between the three territories after the marriage, or if one parent has since relocated to Putrajaya or Labuan.
What to bring
Bring evidence of the child’s daily welfare. A claim about who “should” get the child carries less weight than proof.

Federal Territories cases follow the MSWP branch that matches your family now, not where the marriage was registered. If your child currently lives in KL, file at the Jalan Sri Hartamas seat. If the family later moved to Putrajaya or Labuan, that branch handles the claim instead.
Is there a separate district court inside Kuala Lumpur for hadhanah cases?
No. Kuala Lumpur has no separate district Syariah courts, unlike a state such as Selangor. Every hadhanah case tied to Kuala Lumpur goes to the single MSWP seat on Jalan Sri Hartamas, whether the family lives in the city centre or a suburb further out.
Does MSWP's fast track also decide custody?
MSWP's fast track is built for mutual-consent divorce, not for deciding hadhanah on its own. A custody arrangement both parents already agree on can be recorded quickly alongside it, but a contested hadhanah claim still follows the ordinary hearing process.
My family is in Labuan. Do we need to travel to KL for a hadhanah case?
No. Labuan has its own MSWP branch, separate from the Kuala Lumpur seat. A hadhanah case tied to a Labuan-based family is normally filed and heard at the Labuan branch, not in Kuala Lumpur or Putrajaya.
