PeguamCeraiSyariah is an independent guide to Syariah divorce and Islamic family law in Malaysia. We explain your options in plain language, based on the state where your case is heard.

Each state has its own Islamic family law enactment and its own Mahkamah Syariah. That is why we organise information by state, so you know the right procedure, court, and next step for your situation.

When you are ready for help, we connect you with a qualified Peguam Syarie through WhatsApp. You make the decision; we simply make the first step easier.

How we write content

We draw on official and reputable sources, such as the Jabatan Kehakiman Syariah Malaysia, state enactments, and JAKIM guidance, and we show sources on pages that need them.

We write each language on its own, not as a translation, so it matches how people in Malaysia actually ask and think about these questions.

When we cannot yet confirm a fact, we leave it out of the page until it is checked. You can read how we work in our Editorial Policy.
