Three Mahkamah Rendah Syariah are confirmed so far: Kota Setar in Alor Setar, Kulim, and Kuala Muda in Sungai Petani.[2] A hadhanah claim tied to a child in one of these areas goes to that local court.
If your district is not confirmed
Kedah has more districts than these three, and the official source does not list a court for every one of them yet. If you live outside Alor Setar, Kulim or Sungai Petani, check the Jabatan Kehakiman Syariah Negeri Kedah website before you file.
