JKSNJ hears and decides a fasakh application. Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Johor (MAINJ) sets Islamic policy, while Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri Johor (JAINJ) is a separate department that registers nikah, divorce and rujuk.
Once your fasakh order is granted, JAINJ becomes the relevant office for updating your registered marital status, not before.
