The court sits at Jalan AU2A/17, Taman Seri Keramat, a site that carries a Kuala Lumpur postcode even though its jurisdiction is a Selangor district.^[1] That is a real quirk of the KL and Selangor boundary in that corridor, not a mistake.

Which side of Gombak this covers

Gombak Timur, as the name suggests, covers the eastern part of Gombak district. If your address sits closer to Kuang, Rawang or the western mukim, Gombak Barat’s court is more likely to be yours instead.

Not the same as a Kuala Lumpur court

Because the building sits inside KL’s postal area, some residents mistake it for a Wilayah Persekutuan court. It is not. Gombak Timur runs under Selangor’s enactment and JAKESS, separate from the Mahkamah Syariah Wilayah Persekutuan that hears KL’s own cases.
