Saksi (Witness) in a Syariah Court Case

A saksi is a person who gives evidence in court to support facts in your case, such as a neighbour who saw an argument, or a family member who knows the husband stopped paying maintenance.

Witness evidence is usually needed in a contested case, especially a fasakh case based on cruelty or a missing husband, because the court needs proof beyond your own word.

Before a full trial, you must tell the court your list of witnesses, and each witness can be cross-examined by the other side.
