Perintah Interim: temporary relief while your case runs

An interim order is a temporary order the court issues while your case is still running, before a final decision is made. It protects your and your children’s immediate needs while you wait for the full hearing.

For example, if your husband stops paying maintenance as soon as you file for divorce, you can apply for an interim maintenance order so daily needs are covered while the main case proceeds. This order can change once the final decision is made.

An interim order application usually moves faster than the main case since it addresses an urgent need, but it still needs to be supported with enough evidence.
