As the capital’s court, Seremban tends to carry the heaviest caseload in the state, simply because more residents live within its catchment than any other district.
What makes Seremban different from the other six districts?
Filing here means your case starts in the same complex where an appeal, should one ever happen, would eventually be heard. That is not true anywhere else in Negeri Sembilan, where a contested case that reaches the appeal tier has to move to a different building entirely.

Negeri Sembilan mediates under its own written rules, the Kaedah-Kaedah Tatacara Sulh Mahkamah Syariah 2016, with a Sulh Council that follows a case from registration to completion.[3]

Does my case get pulled into the Appeal Court just because it's in the same building?
No. Sharing a complex with the Mahkamah Rayuan does not change where your case starts. An ordinary mal matter is still heard at the District Court level, and only reaches the appeal tier if a party formally appeals a High Court decision.
I live in Seremban town, do I automatically file at Bandar Sri Sendayan?
Yes, if your address falls within the Seremban district. Bandar Sri Sendayan houses the court complex itself, separate from the older town centre, so plan your journey to that specific location rather than central Seremban.
Why does Negeri Sembilan list an Appeal Court when most states only mention two tiers?
