Sulh Session (Sesi Sulh)

A Sulh session is a mediation meeting between husband and wife, run by a Sulh Officer, before a divorce case goes to a full trial.

The aim is to help both sides reach understanding on issues like the divorce itself, maintenance, custody or property.

In real cases, this session is usually compulsory before a case like fasakh or maintenance arrears proceeds to trial.

If understanding is reached, it gets recorded as an agreement; if not, the case moves to the next stage.
