State Enactment (Enakmen Negeri)

A state enactment is the Islamic family law passed by each state, built on the same structure as the federal Act but with its own section numbers.

This means the grounds for fasakh, the cerai taklik process and maintenance claims are broadly similar across states, but the exact section references differ.

In real cases, the court handling your matter refers to the enactment of the state where the case is filed, not the Federal Territories Act alone.
