Borang Cerai: the basic divorce application form

Borang cerai is the official form provided by the Syariah Court to start a divorce application, whether cerai taklik, khuluk, or a mutual-consent divorce. The form differs by application type and by state.

It usually asks for marriage details, the marriage certificate number, the reason for the application, and proposals on maintenance or child custody where relevant. An incomplete form is usually returned by the court counter for correction.

Some states let you fill in and submit the borang cerai online through e-Syariah, while others require a counter visit.
